Before you completely dismiss this idea let me explain. You can only use your collected minerals in place of CE only when in missions or the arcade. You wouldn't be able to use this at ANY alchemy station or Kozma shop at any of the subtowns or terminals (also wouldn't be used in the supply depot you can bring up while on the floor). Using it in Haven is of course out of the question.

All of this limits you to Mecha knights, Turrets, and Energy gates (danger or prize room).

That would actually be really helpful :O
Instead of wasting precious ce, we could potentially use the power of the absolutely no use valestone and moonstone!

Yes,but shouldn't be a total gap fill instead of new sprites (not saying you suggested it).

This is a good idea.

This is a good idea. I'm sure there are people who have thousands of (non-sprite food) minerals. Also, as crazy as this sounds, maybe enough minerals or CE could be used to revive a Tortodrone?

Most CE transactions benefit all party members, Reving a Tortodrone could end up a trolling move.

That's a good point. Maybe there would be a good reward, such as the materials needed to craft the guns and shields associated with them. If the price was steep enough, it wouldn't be worth it just for a troll.

Perhaps just limit this to stratum 6 where only the strongest players go, we don't need noobs fighting tortos.

Just change the title. Make it something like " Clockworks Interactions Rework".

I'd love to be able to use my blue and green minerals for something, I'm getting tired of seeing it pile up and I have utterly no use for them.

Cool

Nice thought. Although it needs tweaking since OOO doesn't want to limit the uses of Energy any more than they already have (remember that they were generous enough to remove elevator fees). So here's my take on this idea:

1 Energy Unit = 10 Moonstone/Valestone pieces

So Danger Rooms, Energy Gates and Mecha Knights cost 30 Moonstone or Valestone and Energy Turrets cost 60. This way, Moonstone and Valestone finally have a use, and Energy is still useful in the Clockworks because of how many minerals it costs to activate Energy-related things, so that players who don't like grinding for Moonstone and Valestone can have a faster alternative if they're willing to pay for Energy.

For a lore explanation, they could say that Moonstone and Valestone have small traces of Energy inside them that can activate Energy-related machinery when they're brought together.

On the unlikely possibility of a Tortodrone...

A quick fix for the potential trolling problem could just be that all players need to put in a certain amount of energy/minerals, or at least go up to the tortodrone an give permission for it's revival, but in a cooler, more lorey way. Another solution is to just put one of those transparent walls enemies can't pass through nearby so that if a torto is revived you can leave it behind. It would be more of an option, not like a room that you need to kill all the monsters to advance.

I really like the idea, and I would definitely use this for danger and reward rooms, but who uses those annoying mecha Knights, who only shock me :(

Good Idea +1
