It would be really cool to have a mine that I could charge and set down to wait for a baddie or to set it down and wait for a hoard to walk near and set it off with a trigger. But it would have to be able to be charged multiple times to plant more than one. It would take some thinking but it's a cool idea.
Motion censor mines and triggered bombs
Well I thought it would not be effected by allies like other players, and definitely it should not be invisible but it could be small and not shiny. The mechanics could be that the censor only detects enemies in a certain radius and my other idea was a trigger bomb where u control when it blows when u press attack again.
I like the triggered explosive. Maybe use a different button to trigger it or hold attack (as in charge attack IS the trigger) kinda like CoD C4.
[a team of knights would run straight past it] "it would not be effected by allies like other players" - What I meant is the knights won't let enemies walk into your explosive. They'll kill the enemies before they reach your destruction point you've been so happily working on building.
The only time I can see any kills through this is either solo or by spamming spawn points, but aslong as spawn points are spammable it won't be allowed. It should be changed to only allow 1/2 charges active at a time.
The problem is it wouldn't be too useful. As cool as it'd look at first, you'd set the mines and a team of knights would run straight past it to kill the enemies you were waiting so well to draw in.
I think maybe for LD it'd be alright, but even then keeping it visible would make it too easy to avoid and making it invisible would mean every game would be just players getting blown up without being able to fight.
I have nothing against the pure idea as I like the idea of setting mines to draw in the enemy...but I don't see it working.
