I know this might sound a bit sketchy, and need some tweaking, but bear with me.
I have an idea for an event/game mode in which loads of players, like about 30, who fight together against hordes of monsters until everyone dies or they reach the end. There could be a prize or some tokens at the end for defeating the hordes of monsters. The difficulty of the monsters could be adjusted according to the average rank of the players that are participating. I'll leave it up to the community to help with the details, but this could be amazing. Leave your suggestions, I appreciate it!

Suggestion for new game mode/event
Tokens at the end of the waves? or until everyone died? No, adding what chaos-mist said (about the lag part) the best way to reward players in this "kind" of event would be every monster they kill they get a token, that way you are rewarding players by their skill instead their luck or internet connection.
@sweet-hope You're right. I agree entirely with you. I myself have a slow computer that lags a lot, so I know what you and Chaos-Mist mean. By the way, this whole thing was just a thought I had in the shower, so the idea wasn't very fleshed out yet.
I definitely like the idea of a huge, strategical battle, but 30 players: imagine what would happen if they all started spamming Pulsars at the same time. SK's servers would probably explode...
I think this idea has potential. ~12 would maybe even be too much (perhaps 9?)
If OOO created something like this it would have to be completely random to be interesting (unless there are options for what monster families you are fighting). Rewards for the tokens would have to be worth large amounts of tokens (and therefore be valuable). Perhaps the place you are fighting through could buff the monsters like swarm seed does. In order to get a token from every monster and still have the rewards attainable those monsters would have to be health/defense buffed and be a challenge to defeat. Somehow they would have to stand up to a wall of polaris and other area denial weapons and still be a challenge. Otherwise, people would simply spam polaris.
Would there be any story to this? Otherwise, it's a mini game or simply a larger arena with more people in it.

Lag isn't the only problem. More PVP isn't needed as much as it would seem (and I did a post a short while back on a PVP mode so this is a change of heart). If you bring in more PVP, it would theoretically be perfect because all the game-end players would have something new to play rather than just cr hunting.
However! Waiting for players on LD and BN is already a pain💢. Add a third mode and you're further splitting the PVP crowd, increasing waiting times. More players first, more P🆚P later.
Not sure where PvP is mentioned at all in this.
Additional PvP modes would be beneficial if they do not play the same way. For example, you can be good at Blast Network (entirely skill/connection based) but be terrible at lockdown (going against people in superpowered gear). People just play lockdown more because it has super fast powers mode and they can be objectively better than other people outside of pure talent.
Players who don't like Lockdown have been begging for a more balanced version for the longest time. A new PvP game in general would bring in many new faces, not split what is already happening. Only thing that would break the Lockdown community would be alternative lockdown games (custom lobbies, preset gear modes, etc).
It's online play, my bad for saying PvP but it'd still be the same players playing it, so the problem of numbers still stands.
Not really that relevant, but I don't think this is worth a thread and it sorta fits; Maybe BN should be dropped entirely for something new? I used to love BN but trying to get a game takes more time than it's worth. :\
By that logic the clockworks should be dropped because "people are playing it instead of lockdown".
Different people will play different gamemodes. One being a minigame doesn't make it objectively better or take the community out of the other.
Blast Network is staying. Honestly it just needs an update to be more fresh again. What would make it fresh would be its own thread.
"By that logic the clockworks should be dropped because "people are playing it instead of lockdown"."
- What...how? End game players like LD and Vana runs to buy stuff. Rest of game likes CW. Also CW > LD in level of importance. Also, How you gonna get gear for LD without CW? Just bash Rank all the way until 5*? The boredom. D:
"Blast Network is staying. Honestly it just needs an update to be more fresh again"
- As much as I'd love BN to come back and all, I am sceptical.
Speaking as an end-game player, and speaking as one with several thousand hours in this end-game, and we're always looking for something new.
Do I play lockdown? If I want something to do. Do I fight vanaduke? Sure, sometimes. Do I run clockworks? Quite a bit through the arcade.
What I'm getting at is that the lockdown community won't be jaded by another minigame. The only players looking to leave lockdown are ones bored with it or ones who hate the imbalance. Those hardcore players that practically live in that game are not going to leave.
May the lag be with you. :/
