My Idea for update is for a Weapon Creator

In this update, you can have custom weapons made with certain limits

Sort of like, you have 200 points to use, and you can either make a sword, bomb or gun!

First, You choose a base weapon, or a weapon you would edit, or you can start from scratch

- 10 points go into quarter a bar of attack

- 10 into quarter a bar of speed

- 20 into a element of your choice

- 15 into a random UV slot

These weapons would be checked out by OOO and then it will be either sent back for editing or 100 will be released into the auction house under your name, then you can set a cost when they get back to you!

You can also make Reskins for any armor or Weapon or sprite for 5k energy!

What do you guys think

Um.

Not feeling this too much. I mean, a piercing cutter would be amazing to create, but not all weapons are created equal.

Custom weapons make new weapons more eh. Imagine if, before the gunner update, we could simply make an elemental blaster? No point in making a crafting line there.
It would be fun but be rather unbalanced in terms of current and future content.

Ehh...

"One Fang of Vog, hold the elemental attack."
Sure, I would love to have a Fang of Vog that dealt shadow damage so I could cut JK into cranberry sauce.
Sure, I would love to have a Dread Venom Striker that dealt shadow damage so I could slice JK into applesauce.

Sure, I would...

Seeing the pattern here?
I would have quite some fun finding the best combos to defeat JK and such. (Oooohhhhhhh, shadow damage Overcharged Mixmaster)

But, as Fangel said, it would serve to be quite unbalanced.
But, what about the gunner update? What if it HADN'T given simple damage type changes, but new types of weapons overall? People would be able to create those blasters. And if the gunner update actually all new performance weapons, people would be able to change their damage type.

I really like the idea, but I'm not feeling it realistic.

I think that this would work out fantastically, though not in the way the OP intends. Here's why-

Everyone wants to be unique but no one really is. In the end, most of the unique players uniquely have a bunch of vial bandoliers and maybe some kind of cool costume but their gear, their everything, it's all the same collection of brandishes, winmillions, whatever. So what we do, is implement a new ticket item that costs one million energy or so.

When used, this absurdly rare ticket prompts the player to choose a special name, a common name, a description, one existing weapon line, any number of status effects, and a damage type. This information is then sent to the developers, who will reskin whatever item they chose, slap on the status effects, and hand it to the player, no questions asked. The item in question will then be given to the player with a special name+particle effect attached to it, and released via featured auctions for a b/o of one million crowns, rarely.

If people immediately come in and try to order a haze bomb that has all of the status effects sans ice, they're going to get back something like a haze bomb that does all of the statuses but takes 900 years to charge or randomly does one status. If people try to get a dread venom striker that does pure shadow damage, it will have a small damage reduction so that it isn't just game breaking. Doesn't matter if it's a bit on the OP side, because it's going to be a novelty item that only a small percentage of the players will ever even see and if people want to make their game incredibly easy that's their decision.

As for the pricing, one million energy is held by only a handful of players that dominate the various markets in the game, and comes out to around two thousand dollars which sounds like a good deal (for Sega Networks Incorporated) to me.

Warning: Superiority Complex.

It'll be boring to see OP weapons that come out of this, and I don't want to see the best weapons in the game selling for Fehzor's suggested "around two thousand dollars".

Simply open the skin creator to the public and allow people to name their weapons. That's enough customisation to make everyone feel their weapon is different and allow people to show creative flair, and doesn't make any weapon OP in anyway. Plus it's easy.

Although I like the idea, I think $2000 would be kinda too much, P2P to the max. But to make sure OOO won't be overwhelmed by requests the ticket should be very very very very very rare. Maybe make the ticket an ultra rare drop (like Darkfang Shield) or make them only obtainable by doing something very impressive. A very hard achievement, something that only the best players of the game could achieve. Something that makes people think "Wow, he has done that? But that is almost impossible, he must be really pro". Having an own item should not be a proof that you have spent $2000, but a proof that you haave mastered the game.

Another option could be to make it something guild-related. Would love to save up for a special Lionheart Honor Blade with the guild. But again: it would have to be something exclusive to prevent overuse.
