Beast Family monster ideas

Beast Family in a nutshell:

Wolver and Chromalisk... Alpha Wolver is just a Wolver miniboss, and Snarby although cool early game, doesnt add any lore to the game whatsoever!

New Mob :

Spiketail / Spiker / Gimme name ideas...

- Has Average health

- Has the ability to:
1. Bite Like usually, less damage then normal wolvers
2. Shoot out spikes out of its tail / similar to snarbys attack inbetween digging
(tier 1 is 1 spikes, tier 2 is 3 spikes, tier 3 is a combo of the spikes, executes it 2 times in a row (Spikes,Spikes)

- The looks would be like the wolver, but with spikier hide and a spike instead of a tail. Also, red or green eyes, for the effect

New Mob:

Quadrolisks / Flying Chromalisk / gimme name ideas...

- It flies at the height of the Fiend Bat
- It doesnt have legs, and has wings on its sides, longer tail and longer horns ( if they even have horns?)

Has the ability to:

1. Give speed to nearby enemies
2. Spew blobs of Fire/poison/ice...

New Mob -> Quadrolisk Alpha .etc

Same stats and looks as the Quadrolisk, but sharper (?) looking and with more hp / higher damage and status duration...

Extra ablity to Create a trap on teh ground which would slow players and speed up other beast family members (tier 3 only for the speed part)

Thats kinda it, + Bring back OP Wolvers!

Not sure where you've been, but we have quite a few missions that bring the Snarbolax plenty of lore.

For the actual suggestion, I do like it in one way or another. I am very up for a bat beast enemy that moves forwards and back in a gorgo-like pattern. Side to side is still a gorgo thing though. Maybe it could have a status screech attack that fires a projectile that always has a chance to stun? You know, like screeching in your ears and whatnot. Could also have a 5-bite combo attack (each tier adds two more bites, starting at one in tier one).

That other sort of spikey wolver is also pretty neat. We never have snarbolax spikes other than the boss, so having them be around in here would be bring a mechanic deeper into the clockworks!

You've just edited the current mobs to add a little bit extra. If you want new beast monsters make them new. :\
2nd mob was original (apart from the name) for beasts...if not considering other forums posts that have introduced the idea of a bat. I think someone pointed out that no-one needs another Greaver and a flying mob should avoid being bat-like. Giving speed up is nice for a new mob and all, but beasts already have an attack up mob. If any family needs a booster (as in it gives power ups) mob then it's Jelly/Slime.
My idea for the flying mob;
- The mob would be a bird (all feathery and flying and stuffs). It would circle the player in groups (Wolver pack size) and launch strafe runs (fly past the player, hitting once) every few seconds.
Of course this is your thread, so rather than my above not-thought-too-much-about-idea I'd rather see you evolve your idea through your own ideas. :D
Spike shooting beasts are a cool idea but spikes, outside of snarby, are Jelly/Slime monsters and it'd maybe take away from them...I dunno...I feel I will be disagreed with on that point.

Spikes aren't jelly only.

Spikes are more a way to make jellies dealing "piercing" damage make sense. Having any pierce-dealing monster shooting spikes (in different patterns at least. Snarby as an example) makes sense.

Seems you guys like it, well, as a suggestion, thats all it is, until i mod the gam... *dies*

Also, thanks for the suggestions,i also have another idea, a totem of sorts, maybe something like --- if you get near it all wolvers will come to it and protect it because **Magic!**

Also, i had ideas about making the beasts a Buff family, buffing themselves to bypass their original weaknesses

My view on why Beasts are so weak : every attack they have is a charge attack.
Alphas should get something like a quick bite that only hits once but doesn't give much time to block (other advanced mobs such as Mecha Knights that have these attacks seem to work pretty well in the CW and not be OP).

For a charge attack though, the Alpha Wolver isn't THAT bad of an advanced mob. It's pretty much unblockable.

I like this idea (+1)
and I think that there should be some kind of evil snipe.
and that totem thing... maybe it should be a little baby wolver that they want to protect.
also... the spike tail should be kind of like a porcupine.
