No, not the bees, not the bees, aaaaaahhh....

Bees would be beasts that spawn like a regular enemy. They can also spawn from hives on the trees. Breaking the beehive would give the player rewards, like a treasure box, but would spawn some more bees.

They would have two attacks: Sting and thorn shooter.

Sting- a stab, similar to wolver bites.
Thorn Shooter- The bee shoots the stinger, sending out barbs like a polyp.

Not very thought out....
But still, it's a little suggestion.

On a more serious note this is a pretty good idea
Although bees aren't the bad things, those are yellow jackets and hornets that make an effort to sting you
A better name would fit too, although I can't think of any name for it that sounds SKish

We Already....

Have Greavers. I mean, they already shoot bullets in Tier 3, right? So why do you need another flying monster similar to one that already exists? No offence, Pery. On the other hand, that hive idea is a nice one. Like you hit it and gives you rare items but also spawns a swarm of monsters.

Nice idea with the beehive, BTW @ Pery-Alaois.

WOuld be

Would be interesting if the bees can call in new bees from the hive when moving far away from it. Like leaving a trail and lots more bees follow it to attack that spot.

Interesting

A wasp would work a bit better IMO. Those buggers (no pun intended) don't do anything helpful to anyone.
A wasp nest of sorts would be neat, especially if the nests counted as "enemies", so you could have them be in monster gates and force players to destroy them.

I like the idea.

I think bees fit better as honey items could be involved. Plus it would open up the idea of a bee sprite (a wasp could never be persuaded to join your side ^^)

The beasts currently have no longer-than-mid-range attacks, and I dislike some of the other ideas that have been posted but a bee works fine. Rather than being like a bite (stinger attack) it could be like a Flourish lunge.

Also, no problem with the 'Hit it to spawn the monsters' idea but just putting an idea in from the game "Blue Dragon"; walking near the hive could spawn the enemy, rather than hitting it. Not only that but it could EITHER spawn an enemy or break like a box, so walking near it has a 50/50 chance for either event to happen. You get 50% bees, 50% treasure chance.

It'll be neat if the bees

It'll be neat if the bees could either be destroyed or could alternatively be warded of by throwing a honey orb on a flower like platform. Maybe get different drops. Like if you go for the peaceful route you get a random present for making the flowers happy by keeping the bees alive. And if you destroy them you'll reap the rewards from what ever the bees drop.

The papaya has a question

Do the bees appear as little pixels in swarms? (Where the swarm itself is an entity, not each individual pixel) Or do they appear just like Wolvers do? As separate entities, but in packs. Wolver-sized-bees are not good in my book. They don't just sting anymore, they impale.
