It would be nice to look back at some thread creations, and if I failed to mention my name in the post then I usually can't find them.

I like the idea.
It's a pretty good time saver if I do say so myself. Especially when you want to find your 3 year old topic things I've already got out of my head.
if you want to save threads, bookmark them or save the link somewhere. alas, until OOO decided to hire a web designer / take a web designer from the community, the forum will stay as-is.
