Is there a way I can delete my account? I really hate this game at first I used to love it but I am stuck at the hall of heroes for Rank 6
and I am sick of it People should not have to go through this terrible hall of heroes I just don't freaking like it being FORCED freakin FORCED I mean shoved down your throat forced to get good gear instead of completing the story mode which sucks so much butt that's like telling me I can't go to my house unless I pay to get inside I know I'm being a bit noob-ish but I find it bullcrap this game relies on you farming for like an hour to get enough crowns to buy a recipe because everything else at the auction house cost so much dang crowns so after farming your butt off several times you get to have actual fun so I ask again can I delete my account I want to remove this game from my computer because it is just taking up space out of all honesty this is one of my favorite games but I can't take the fking hall of heroes its fun playing with friends and everything playing arcade and etc... But the dang hall of heroes is so annoying. I just wan to to complete the story mode without being forced to go into a hall that some guy tells you to do get geared up or don't go in there that is what makes the game so fun the difficulty and you sorta messed that up by putting the hall of heroes there so this is my suggestion remove the hall of heroes.
I don't like this game anymore
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The OP is suggesting........ get ready for it...... removing the hall of heroes!
I could sit here and say what Thunder said, but the truth is that the OP has a valid point because the OP almost always has a valid point somewhere. Now obviously if the OP could just bypass the hall of heroes and get into the next tier they'd immediately fail there unless they had good gear + skills to boot, but whose fault is that? The devs'? Or the OP's?
I'm going to go with the devs' fault, for designing a game that drives players into a wall in the middle of the story to begin with. They started with a model that worked well with that wall (the only drive was to progress to more interesting areas and having players climb that wall was a driving factor) and have since ended up with the story mode as the real big attraction. No longer is the game about exploring areas and collecting gear, but about progression. If the developers are going to change this, opening progression past the hall of heroes wouldn't worth either. I described a better fix for this problem that I have observed here.
Here we are again with this silly argument. It's valid but usually not stated too well.
In tier 3 of the clockworks, you need to have at least 4* gear to perform well (at least for weapons if you've acquired very good dodge skills in tier 2 and instantly adapt to how much harder tier 3 is).
However, my usual argument for Hall of Heroes is that the missions advance too quickly. Players are playing the story missions, typically on "Normal" difficulty (and thus, less crowns), and when they reach a hall of heroes it's like going Mach 5 and hitting a brick wall. Hence, much like Fehzor's suggestion above, have missions be unlocked via the clockworks.
A few ways to do so is to make missions require minerals to do, thus requiring the arcade to be played at some point to acquire minerals, or to do as Fehzor's thread says and to make players "unlock" missions by stumbling across them in the clockworks, or after so many levels/hours have the next mission unlock.
The problem isn't the hall of heroes, those are in the game to make sure you don't step out of line. The problem is the mission system making you go so fast (essentially giving you gear up until 4* so you don't even notice the earlier hall of heroes) and then suddenly stopping you, only to start going fast again and stop you later.
I was thinking of an idea where in the Hall of Heroes, there'd be a dude who would upgrade your "standard issue equipment"(levi, vali, nitro, azure) for you as long as the equipment has been sufficiently heated.
This will also allow players to upgrade their rank-sword/rank-shield to Lionheart Honor Blade and whatever the shield is called.
The issue with the brick wall is still there, but now players have an alternative route which takes far less time as players going with standard equipment only have to farm for Glowings and Shinings to reach the end.
It certainly doesn't solve the issue, because I imagine most players like their Flourishes, Brandishes, and Needleguns, but it's there as an option.
if you are playing on client or steam, when you login there should be a button labeled "delete" on the characters. you can then uninstall the program from the control panel like every other program.
if you are playing from any other media, check your control panel. if it's not there, then I suggest manually searching for it, it shouldn't take more than 10 mins to find it.
almost every MMO out there forces you to grind, if you expect something different, sorry but it's just how the gaming industry works at this point in time. I suggest not playing MMOs if grinding isn'y your thing.
now why is this in the suggestion subforum?
EDIT: oh, seen the very last sentence on the post now. sorry, the hall of heroes stays. players should have some respectable gear before entering T3, and a roadblock is needed to do so. I would like tying gear permission to the arcade, but it seems that OOO has gone way too far from that idea to go back on it.
you can also buy recipies in the Hall of Heroes if you want, they should be cheaper than the AH. remember, you need only one of each piece of gear to be of the corresponding star ranking to advance, and once you are T3 you can go to vana for some cash.
