Hi ,a long time ago I've created a post in which I was planning and gathering information and suggestions from players on how OOO can improve the game.

I wanted to turn their suggestion all the suggestions by creating 3D models and concept art to make it easier for OOO to apply, make or consider making those changes.

The question is does OOO allow people to create their own videos featuring elements from their game or will they take it down ?(would be helpful if GM itself would answers this question ;)

Judging by this and this, I'd say go ahead.

They only get iffy if you start modifying game files. However, Spiral Spy has been accessing game files for a long time now.

The only time I've ever seen

The only time I've ever seen any potential issue is if you try selling things for profit using their assets. I asked about doing a series of art prints a while back and they said the only issue would be if I used like, their logo or imagery that they created in my work. If you're doing it for fun or for THEIR benefit even, it seems pretty safe to me. :O

k thnks for replies

So from what I understand i should be fine as long as don't use the in game files or sell the final prototype.

So i guess i would be fine since im making my own 3d models(models will look completely different from the games 3d models) .
I might as well put a disclaimer that the project is for non profit , just for security to avoid any copyrights issues.

Keep in mind, running advertisements on a popular youtube video would be considered "selling".

You are better off contacting support with greater specifics of the project you are planning. Putting a disclaimer will not avoid copyright issues. Getting written permission will.

^^ thanks

Skepticraven@ mhh I wont really call it advertisements since no sk logo or assets are being used just plain private youtube videos which only people with the link can see.

But I will make sure to contact them as you suggested since its sounds like the safest way to avoid any copyright issue.
