Chaos Set Vs Hybrid set

Okay, I have recently had the choice to go Full Chaos set with Swiftstrike buckler OR Chaos Cowl with Vog Cub Coat and Barbarous Thorn Shield. Which should I choose?
Btw my chaos clock has the UV poision resist medium.

It depends on how "good" you are (your experience, your computer, your Internet connection, etc.). And it depends on where you'll be fighting. For example, Chaos is much more dangerous in Firestorm Citadel than in Legion of Almire.
You need a 5-star shield. If you use swords, it might as well be Barbarous Thorn Shield. But then you can also get Swiftstrike Buckler on the side, just to see whether you like it. I mean, even if you don't like it, you haven't wasted much of your resources.

'I' would get the chaos set and the barbarous thorn shield as not only it looks better , you also have some nice buffs(mentioned above by Kirivilo) and nice defence provided by the shield. 'IMO' if you are a gunner ,THEN you should invest in for a swiftstrike , else BTS is what you should get (as i think swiftie is not really needed, damage bonus would be more useful - ''except for troika lines and sealed sword lines'').

That's not true at all. An ASI on flourish line's etc. is also very usefull. It helps kill greavers faster, help's kill trojan faster.

I'd go with Chaos + BTS
I have to go with what Bopp said, just get both shields.If you really can only craft 1 shield at the moment I recomend you get a BTS and the chaos cloak, because using a swiftstrike over a BTS would require a lot more skill because you have to dodge everything due to the shield's low defence. I found that it was a lot easier to just throw high damage charges at thing from a distance when I was still pretty new to the game. This is also why I recomend the cloak over the coat.
I would recommend Full chaos with Barbarous thorn shield.
Max sword dmg and CTR at level 10. Plus, in nearly every situation in the game, damage boosts are much more valuable than speed boosts.
Barbarous over swiftstrike due to this, and also due to the potential need for having a 5* shield to get out of sticky situations.
