But strategies for Lockdown or Arcade?
On Arcade missions I use Cryotech charge to damage multiple monsters. But if this monster is resistant I change to Calibur and fight. When I am trapped by monsters then I shield and try to get out.

Proto shields bump less
I use my proto shield everywhere so that I can cancel my hits without bumping the monsters away.

in LD...
I use FoV. I switch-shoot Catalyzers to "light up" the enemy team. I will (occasionally) push forwards while holding a Magnus charge. I also use toilet bomb and lagging shards of tortoderp.

In PvE, I like running swords only unless it's a challenging stage. My favourite for fun loadout consists of normal swords only, as well.
In LD, I have the guts to actually run three swords and a gun instead of two swords and two guns!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my favorite sword is my Wild Hunting Blade and I use it a lot, took it from Cutter on up through the ranks to Vanguard.

In lockdown (t3) I use padded armor, fractured mask of seerus, and a chilling duelist, I usually just go pacifist recon but sometimes I shoot people with the duelist (deals1/4 pip of damage per shot), eventually people catch on that I'm not doing anything and they let me sit at the enemy locker room

I use the Nameless set, so of course I use guns. But sometimes, I just use a Daring Rigadoon and Avenger.

Huh.
One of my favorite anti-beasts/anti-fiends loadout is a DVS + Callahan. Great for quick single-target fights. Also stupidly fun and effective in Heart of Ice.
Last night I fought vanaduke with a breach blaster alone, so that was a thing. Not all that effective but I was trying to heat it dangit.
Lastly I use a leviathan blade in the "Dreams and Nightmares". That and an arcana.
In lockdown, when I have all slots unlocked, I'll typically be wearing full valkyrie armor. For all you taking notice at home, valkyrie is one of the worst possible lockdown armors.
With no slots unlocked, I've made a bunch of strange and unoptimized loadouts. Why? Because full fallen with a wildfire is strangely effective okay.
