So, I was playing spiral Knights a month or 2 back, then had a long downtime. Now, My text is garbled and silly.
Here Is my graphics details straight for Intel Update.

I have Not tried updating Java yet, so I'll try that.
Edit:: Just Updated Java, Little Better than before, but still garbled.

I use a microsoft windows XP home edition laptop.
It seems that 945s Don't support OpenGL, I know this because when in Runescape (Great Game) if i switch the game to OpenGL mode, it become's just like this, garbled and eye sore. Perhaps Direct X could solve this? because when i play Runescape in Direct X, not only are there no garbled graphics, but there seems to be less lag!
I just updated my driver yesterday, so it should be the latest
Edit: when i actually log in, i get a black screen. after a bit, the knight select screen comes up, but when i select my knight, it gets stuck on loading screen.
To the best of my understanding, Spiral Knights can't run in DirectX, it's a Java application.
Are you sure that you've got the latest driver from the Intel website? According to that, the latest version is 14.32.4.4926.
All I can suggest now is going through the Technical Support sticky one more time, in case you missed a step.
That totally looks like an issue with your graphics driver. The 945s seem to have issues with the game--they don't have full 3D support or something? Even text fails to render properly.
Have you also manually checked Intel's website for a new driver? On my Vista computer, it fails to detect new versions for whatever reason. When I get home in a few hours I can check for you.
What does the game look like when you log in? If you could provide us with more information that would be great.
EDIT: You can try looking for an updated driver here; I didn't know your operating system, so I couldn't find the specific one you would need.
What was the date on the driver version you currently have? The latest on the Intel website is from December of 2010.
