For a Quest i needed to have specific materials which you got as a reward for another Quest which i accidentally sold and now i can't get them anywhere can someone help?

Not a bug, still possible to complete the mission
Monsters drop materials. Missions aren't the only way to get them. You can also buy them on the Auction House or from Brinks if you don't want to mat farm.
And if you're going to sell materials, make sure you have a fair supply of them first. You need them for missions (rank and prestige) and to craft items. Once you're sure you have enough, then sell them.
Kill the monsters that dropped the crap or beg to Vanguards.
Never sell materials to vendors.
