Bad client-side prediction for area damage + shield

The client-side prediction for walking through area damage (mist, fire, enviromental hazards) with shield activated is very bad. With a high ping, my character seems to jump forth and back and I'm never really sure where he is, even if the damage source is drawn accurately. This can be really confusing - especially when fighting oilers - and makes it hard to see if you're actually moving somewhere or will be stuck until your shield breaks.
