i just joined a group with a total [dolt] that just ran through the whole level and just went to all the treasures boxes etc then kicked everyone after he took everything and was waiting at the lift telling us to come when the whole level is fulled with mass monsters ..... and kicks us from the group because we want to actually play the game and not be a d bag .. .. anyways .... is there a way i can block from playing with people like this i encounter on the way ?

his name was [redacted] bewarned if u join a group and see him leave before he screws u over and u waste energy !

[EDIT: If someone is griefing you, please report it to the GMs in-game rather than engaging in name-and-shame on the forum. Thank you!]

Start a party with those settings and it should be invite only (bugs aside).

Solo

If you want to play by yourself, you can go to the friend panel at the top (While in a level) and click on your name in the "Party" section, and choose to go solo. Otherwise, you can start a new group so if anyone else like that comes along you can kick them! :D

If you ever join him again by chance, you have always the option to "go solo"...

but

i thought the less people the less items money etc etc ... so logically you'd always want to be in a 4 man group ? ... and how does the loot work? is it like similar to Diablo 2 as in every man for him self? or is it more of a round robin like WoW? i am unsure but it seems like its every man for him self ...

they should add a tab for "ignore list" that would be awesome to add them because now i am going to make a notepad and just write their names down ...

and when im group leader how do i kick someone exactly? cause every time i click on the tab it just asks me if i want to put my teammate on my energy tab.

There is an ignore list. Type

There is an ignore list. Type "/ignore [user]". During the Preview event you were able to set party items to either Free-For-All or Round Robin. Nowadays it seems like they are just random.

They are just random. I

They are just random. I can't remember where I saw it, but somewhere said the reasoning was that people were gaming the Round Robin system to get the 'good loot'.

As for kicking players, click on their avatar, not on the button on the right side for the energy tab.

I haven't seen anything to say that monsters drop less money while going solo, so while a floor will generate more crowns for a 4-man group simply because 4 players are receiving the same amount of crowns, the crown gain for a single player in that group should be the same.

All crowns and heat are

All crowns and heat are shared, every drop is randomized, and it is the same amount if you go Solo or if you're in the party. The only difference is depending on the number of members in your party, monster health/strength scale accordingly.

Two things.

1: Was it a Graveyard? If so he probably just sucks at them and fears the Phantoms so wanted to leave fast before they came for him.

2: Getting booted/going solo does not cost you energy (or heat I think... don't quote me on that one).

Honestly, if the guy was rushing through levels and not killing the monsters then you don't want to party with him anyways. THAT is a waste of your energy. Why leave all the enemies alive when they are going to drop you crowns, heat, and mats that you can potentially sell.

If you are joining a group then you are stuck with whatever you join (unless you go solo) whether good or bad. The only other real option is to start your own party where you can boot people, or set it to just friend/guild members can join you. Personally I find my guild mates are much more competent then any pug I join anyways, unless of course I'm farming heat then pugs are wonderful due to them dying a lot (rev everybody).
