I honestly don't see why you can't feed Zee Cores to sprites. They're normal materials that randomly drop from enemies. You should totally be able to use them to feed sprites

But you need Zee cores to craft the Slumber equipments
Zee Core is a legacy item. It no longer has any use (similar to green and blue minerals) and Grey Haven (GH) doesn't care enough to do anything about it. But if it makes you feel any better, go ahead and post your suggestions in this forum. Just don't expect GH to do anything about it. They stopped reading the Suggestions Forum a long time ago.
Zee Cores will stay as is for the remaining life of this game.
