So, uhh...

Why is grey havens skipping regular events that have been happening consistently for the past 5 years?

Since winterfest, we usually have march of the tortodrones in feb/march, and the equinox + lucky boxes in late march. So far, none of those have happened.

Since GH is typically minimal on communication, its just shocking that theyre skipping events that keep the playerbase engaged. I really hope they dont actually go a year with no events, but so far, its looking like thats going to be the case.

I will never forgive this

Not to mention Apocrea in November, which has been skipped two years in a row.

The gap in between the previous two Apocrea events is thirteen months. (As far as I know, literally the largest gap between an event being re-ran out of every event in this game's history) And it's going to be a similar gap until the next one because they skipped it last November as well. Thank you grey Havens.

Thankyou for reaching out! Im sorry, but we dont preannounce which boxes are upcoming. Something to keep in mind with the more recent development of the game is that we may not repeat boxes as regularly as we have in the past. Now, sure, I like change and new promos/cosmetics/events, but please for the love of god, communicate this with the community. Weve had equinoxes regularly since the game started. As Spark mentioned, we usually had these repeating events atleast somewhat consistently. Going radio silent on the community and skipping events that have happened for 11 years in a row is just not good community management.

All it does is make the community expect more when they eventually DO release a new event/box.

There's still time

There were times where equinox dropped as late as early April (3-4) so there's still time before we can say for sure they aren't showing up but the lucky prize box is probably a goner for this year

@Hells-Wolf the latest the box ever appeared was in March 28th. Safe to say it's not happening.

@GH There's one clear reason people were waiting for Equinox box more than any other one.

I personally also wanted to get the bomb and the shield too, among other things. I don't like to rely on player merchants.
Still, the Orbitgun is the main reason people jump onto this particular box.
By doing away with regular releases, you just fueled FOMO once again.

Weird. How is equinox not just a crontab entry or so

It's an IRL solar event https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equinox
The in-game event is like a week or so around it, so it doesn't even have to be exact.
Why isn't this (and at least Solstice too) automated for eternity? Less work for whoever schedules events.
