Ideal Defensive Armor Set

been theorycrafting a bit about armor. This is aimed at general tier three use, in tier two and lower you can just wear whatever you want or load up on normal defense

my general loadout right now is flourish, cryo gun, shivermist, shadow gun. Not exactly dependent on swords and IAS isn't a big deal for the flourish anyway so vog's bonus is kind of irrelevant. I think the best general defense would use both armor slots to get one of each type - normal, elemental, piercing, and shadow

The dual typed armors are Divine Veil/Divine Mantle (elemental/shadow), Dragon Scale Helm/Mail (piercing/elemental), and Radiant Silvermail (shadow/piercing). One of those would need to be paired with a complimentary normal armor. The best I could come up with is divine veil with justifier jacket - flame, curse, and shock resist, medium fiend bonus, and medium IAS for guns. Radiant silvermail gives poison, curse, and low fiend and could go with any elemental hat. Nameless gives the gun bonus again, or maybe volcanic demo for fire resist and medium bomb charge

the dragon gear only gives fire resist, but maybe there's a good enough shadow/normal piece that makes it worth it. It's also worth considering what still deals normal damage in tier three (lumbers and trojans?), maybe it's better to just double up on dual defense pieces. Divine and dragon gives elemental/shadow/elemental/piercing, lots of fire resist, and a couple other bonuses

I've also been considering this entirely separately from shields, as far as I can tell armor stats only apply to you and shield stats only apply to your bubble (including resists)
