This is a follow up to my first bug report, in which I was forced to create this forum account.
When invited to play through steam and using the feature "login through steam account" a forum account with your user information is not created, only a game account is.
I have reached this conclusion by:
Following the "account information" link from the in game support menu, only to be redirected to the main website page. (This launches the in game steam web browser as well)
Attempting to log into the forum with my steam ID and PW. (Account does not exist)
Attempting to recover my account with the email adress linked to my steam ID. (email adress not in use)
So I was forced to create this forum account to be able to post here.
This presents a problem (which I touched upon in my first, initial bug report) of keeping track of transaction histories. Your user account will track if you spent real world currency on in game energy. For steam users, logging in with thier steam information, they will not have a website / forum account that keeps track of this history.
Now say a bug or a glitch causes you to lose out on whatever you purchased- you don't have a transaction history. Which makes it hard for you to recover your lost purchase.
Now I could be wrong about this particular bug, but given that I browsed through these bug reports and found people posting links to thier steam ID, lends credence to my supposition that creating an account with your steam information will not create a matching website / forum linked account.

i just tried using my steam info on here as well to play thru thr browser. But as you said it does NOT exist :(
I wanted to play thru the browser or thru standalone because a lot of australians are saying steam makes the game lag for them and playing thu browser fixes it for them. I have 5* everything so dont want to start a new character and cant link my steam info to here or the standalone. What do we do??? Will there ever be a way???
