It's like any of the items like it, it's good since you can get the recipes all the time, but because of that, it's not the greatest armour ever. It 's stylish, and would be a good costume, but it's not worth the sun silver too.

I think that you should get
I think that you should get the Cobalt Armor line first before getting anything else because it offers good overall resistance and the recipes are extremely easy to get. Then you can think about changing to other armors.
It's super-stylish (I really think it's the best-looking armor set in the game) but I can't say I'd recommend it. Its stats are unspectacular and it has no bonuses or resistances--it's very straightforwardly worse than a substantial number of alternatives.
Also, while the recipes are easy to get (which is nice) they all require Sun Silver, which makes the set kind of expensive, materials-wise.
Anyway, no. I got it and it's, you know, decent--five star and all that--but I can't really recommend it unless you're looking for an awesome costume piece.
