Don't buy/craft this sword. It is horrible.
Here is some data I gathered:

Other important factors not shown in this graph:
- Cautery Sword is a dead-end crafting line, the Calibur is not.
- The Calibur's charge attack can hit up to three times and has excellent knock-back. The Cautery Sword's charge hits only once and has almost no knockback.

To add insult to injury, it would be a totally boring sword even if it had further upgrades and better base damage. The charge attack is just a single swing with a red trail instead of white.
The weapon's model looks kind of cool though. That's a shame. They should totally reinvent this thing or make a new, GOOD weapon that uses its model instead. :)

Could you check the damage
Could you check the damage numbers at the beginning and end of the strata (in this case Depth 14 and 17). That way it can be added to the wiki damage tables - you can see the format the Tempered Calibur uses here:

That way someone browsing the wiki will see the poor damage and hopefully avoid a horrible crafting mistake :)
