well if you open up ur character and at the bottom where it should show a helmet and 4 weapons where it will show more accurate stats of how your armor effects you on the whole, for me I just got a max freeze UV dusker chest so with 2 piece of dusker an a max freeze UV i have like almost completely max resistance, Also another thing about resistances is, its not so much that you NEVER get afflicted by an ailment but more that you are less effected by an ailment, like with alot of freeze or fire resistant the less time you are frozen/burnt, much like curse resistance with a granfaust curse, it last for like 40 seconds and prevents you from using 2 weapons and 3 item slots, with max UV curse resistance , its only like 20 seconds and allows me to use 3 weapons instead of only 2, also allows me to use 3 items instead of one potions.
