I have noticed mainly at arena's but other places as well usually high monster trafic, but placed bombs tend to just disapear than go off. The ratio is probably 1 in 6-8. Is this a known problem?

dud bombs are awful. yes it is a known problem, at least among bombers.
sometimes they do explode and there is no visual indication of such. sometimes they never detonate despite being placed down and having a ring. I've had some where i never even got touched and the bomb didn't explode
