Tempered Calibur - Where to Go from Here?

As the title would suggest, yes I have one of these. I was wondering where to go with this weapon next. Since I'm not too familiar with the weapons I wanted to make my first set of 5-Star gear and since I don't plan on waiting for the market to make CE worth 20K in Crowns per 100, I don't want to waste my CE on making a bunch of 5-star stuff. So whatever I turn this blade into, I don't want to regret it.

I looked at the Cold Iron Vanquisher and think it would be awesome since I HATE Undeads! But I also didn't want to be stuck with an overrated 5 star weapon that would be good with Undeads but flat out sucks against everything else. I looked at the numbers against the Leviathan Blade and the numbers do in fact support the Leviathan Blade being the superior weapon, but I wanted some opinions, most of all opinions from those who have used at least one of those weapons, or if possible someone who owns both.

Is the Leviathan Blade as superior a choice as the Wiki makes it out to be, or is the Cold Iron Vanquisher not really the one trick pony it appears to be?

Levi is better for

Levi is better for everything. Personally I'd specialize my weapon instead of using caliber at all, but whatever.

Logic vs style

Put simply - Levi is the logical choice, CIV is the fashionable choice.

If you only ever do FSC in T3, want to look cool, or you don't care that your damage vs everything else is marginally lowered then go CIV all the way. The damage difference is not signification enough to be noticeable either way. If something takes three hits to kill, most of the time it'll still take three hit to kill with the other sword too.

On the other hand, if you are like me and make sound decisions based on data and thus can't mentally get over the lowered damage then go Levi, won't regret it.

One thing the wiki doesn't mention is that the CIV's charge attack knockback is dramatically lowered. I don't have a CIV so can't personally comment on it, but what people have told me is that the knockback is just enough so that you still can't connect all three hits unless it is cornered or frozen. But the monster is still unfortunately close enough that it can come back to retaliate.

CIV works a treat

CIV works a treat in FSC and graveyards but the damage vs everything else is down 5-10%. This means that enemies Levi users have to hit 10 times, you might have to hit them 11.

Also, it looks cool. So there's that.

If I had gotten IAS or CTR on a calibur I would've turned it into a Levi, as it stands I got a UV vs Undead High, so I turned that into a MAX :P

@culture: The charge attack on the CIV knocks back attacking enemies enough that they cannot connect, just like it's supposed to.

Just get the Levi, there are

Just get the Levi, there are many more viable weapons for undead than the CIV

I wouldn't get any of them. I

I wouldn't get any of them. I got the Levi as my first real weapon too, and even if the 3 and 4* caliburs were great in tier 1 and possibly tier 2 I kinda regret it. In tier 3 you will notice the dmg is a lot lower than more "specialized" weapons. I'd rather get a Nightblade first, possibly even a Haze Bomb if you want to go that road or an Alchemer gun (shock for example) if you want a gun. You can just keep the Calibur at 3* or make it into a 4* Calibur for some extra damage and do Jelly King runs with it. When you got enough tokens I'd get a Sealed Sword and go for an Avenger --> Divine Avenger.

If you don't like this/you think it'll cost you too much, just get a 4* Calibur then a Nightblade/Faust later. Even though the Levi isn't that good its still useful and good in FSC.

The Cold Iron line has

The Cold Iron line has roughly half as much knockback on its charged attack than the rest of the Calibur line. As a result, its charged attack leaves enemies in range to retaliate before you can move again. Don't do it! D:
