How do you know you are ready to leave the training camp and go to Haven?
I've managed to get through Sparrow Camp twice safely. Once with a party, once alone.
Since its a point of "no return" I don't want to leave to early. I still only got the basic equipment, but its at level 9.

lvl 10 necessary?
You really need to have your gear up to lvl 10? I think I only have my gear at around 5, made it through Sparrow Camp fairly easily.

No, you don't need it to be level 10 - I'd say you are ready as well Paska!
Just, if you are near or at level 10 heat on your basic gear, you are definitely ready to move on. Haven has the Firefly gate which is very similar to the Sparrow gate, so if anything, you can continue to do that until you are ready to try different gates in the arcade. Of course, you'll never know until you try! :D
Haven is where most players are, so that is where the game really picks up, methinks.

Good yea I figured as much (whenever it says that I can never come back to something it always makes me second guess myself), just started playing early this morning for an hour or two, definitely ready to get into the meat and bones of this game!

Umm
After I was done with the first small run I was invited to do a T2 run and learn the game that way lol (Well at that time they did not even have T2, but ya)....regardless I think its really on the player if your going with a team of people who are smart you can learn from them faster and easier in my view.

I think that pretty much if you find yourself feeling comfortably familiar with the controls of how to play in regards to moving/dodging/using & switching your weapons, you can leave the training camp. In Haven there is always the Firefly gate if you need an easier gate to continue practicing adventuring. Because there are more players in Haven, you can meet new people and go down gates in parties. Plus you have people around that you can ask questions about the game.

Haven is where the main game begins. Granted, I haven't started a new character since many of the more recent changes, but if you have proto gear near level 10, I'd say you should probably be good. I assume you also have an okay amount of crowns too, so getting newer gear shouldn't be too bad. Ask around too, alot of nice people are around may have some spare gear.
