I think that there should be a specific place where you can go and buy/sell. the reason i say this is because they took out trade chat and haven one just gets way to crowded. i think that they should put in a place where you could go so all the other havens including haven one would be less crowded.

The trade channel is still there, jut not joined by default.
/join trade
so you suggest to make separated from haven room where will be Auction House? If It will be one for all havens it will turn game servers in to ashes cause of overcrowd. If there will be couple of it for what they will be? Havens crowd in another location will not change servers ping.
