Since the Steam version of
Since the Steam version of Spiral Knights downloads with it's own Java package, the Java Updater will not modify it. For some reason Steam does not distribute the most up to date Java release.
What you can try is copying the contents of your Program Files (x86)/Java/jre6 folder over top of the Java in Steam\steamapps\common\spiral knights\java_vm. Best make a backup copy of the Spiral Knights Java for just-in-case. Don't use 64-bit Java; 64-bit programs don't work with the Steam Overlay.
