I've got:

Windows 7 64 bit
6 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT [512MB Ram]
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz
150GB HDD

Now the game and all that runs fine but every so often (Hard to really say what triggers it such as X time playing) I will head to an elevator and click descend and then the game won't load forcing me to quit (and losing my energy). Is there anything in particular that could cause this issue so I can focus on fixing that?

I updated my java to the latest version, my graphics card drivers were updated a few days ago so im not entirely sure what else I should do.

If your using Steam, it might

If your using Steam, it might be dropping its connection. If not, it sounds like some kind of network issue during zone changes. the projectx.log file may contain more information.

Considering the latest update, the servers might be overloaded from everyone getting into the Blast Network. dogrock also mentioned a possible bug that spams a lot of upload bandwidth... that may be contributing to the problem as well.

Actually thats very bad... it means a zone crashed pretty hard on the server if it didn't have time to push info to the character database.
