I would love a way to do so. During play I enjoyed the crafting system but it felt like my old equipment was piling up that wasn't vital for crafting. I would be ecstatic to see a way to break down old items for raw ingredients.
Unless there was already a way to do so and I did not properly explore.
You should keep it all so you can mix and match stuff for the costume equipment slots!
