Maybe on Halloween everything is a graveyard except for the boss stratums, and the monsters drop candy coins or something, which you trade in for Halloween items or something. And at Christmas, Basil turns into Santa Claus or something and he gives you 1 free recipe of your choice. And at Thanksgiving there's a turkey boss. And stuff.

yeah! holiday events!
i always liked holiday events in game, but they're usually not called by their normal names. so instead of "halloween" it would be something like "spookday" or something like that. and haven would be in the night during the week, with halloween decorations and some of the NPC's dressed up. maybe basil could sell some masks at the clockwork terminals. the deeper you go, the more exclusive the masks.
