Lots of us have noticed that we you try to pick up a materials that it goos to someone else for example:
Lets say you see a "Redwood" material, you try to pick it up but it gos to your partner(s).
You will have a 1 in 4 Chance of geting the material to your self.
Im not sure how this works but please put the regular materials back on SK please

Well, not always, but certainly since release.
It's good this way because noobs/trolls can't simply run past monsters to grab all materials for themselves.
Do your math again please!!
In a full party it is 1 in 4 that you get a material thats been picked up!

I'm not sure how that works either. Do you mean that it misses you 67% of the time? cuz that's not right either...
Which items are shared, and which are not, and exactly how it all works, is all explained in the "Party" article on the Spiral Knights wiki.
I actually wouldn't mind the old method for item gathering, but I feel like it would add another filtering option to when people want to join parties.
i think its good, if not you'd have guys just sitting back waiting for stuff to fall not really helping anyone...
