Dont know if anyone has this problem, but my Spiral Knights wont work. I have reinstalled it 10 times, and still dun work. i have a stupid mac and im in china. steam://install/99900 this is how i got the game.
Any one know how to fix it? i really wanna play and i have ce charged.
yep, steam sucks. i sent so many letters to steam support, no reply. screw steam. + they dont convert ur account to a username
and passord. they should because, then we wouldnt have to play it in steam, we could download the client

The problem is that Steam region-locks certain games, like Spiral Knights. They probably do it for legal reasons, something to do with the Steam wallet and currency exchanges. Players in China have always had this problem with certain games, but because of the legal issues involved...there's no guarantee it will be resolved at all.
You can try downloading the Spiral Knights desktop client directly from the Spiral Knights website, that should allow you to play. Have you emailed Spiral Knights support for official advice? There's not a lot else you can do.

Merging the account to steam won't undo the region lock, and disables any ability to login through the normal un/pw method. This is an issue that has be resolved by Steam since they are the ones that have to impose the restrictions.

Exploding, it turns out you can't merge accounts. You need to contact Steam and ask them to fix the region lock.
Officially, nothing yet. Although I don't know if OOO is fully aware of it.
So far its pretty clear that most of the affected are in Asian countries. Theres also a bunch of Mac users affected, but I haven't seen enough responses from users to know if this is Mac specific or another region lock.
If this turns out to be another dumb third-party bug like the WRT54G I will quit not only Tech Support, but the whole forums, forever. I mean it this time.
We don't even know which Mac OS is having issues? Or is it just Steam for Mac that's borked?

Exploding, there is no way to unbind your account from Steam. You may have to make a new account and just play on the regular client. I'm very sorry. :(
i give up on spiral knights. i had 5* armor and 5 * weps. its all gone....
I'm not sure how macs are built, but I had this same issue with a PC no more than 3-4 days ago. It was an easy fix, really. For some reason, one of my Java programs weren't allowed internet access by my firewall, when before the game became unavailable to me.... it WAS allowed internet access. So.... uh..... again... not sure how macs are built, but if they have this option, make triple sure that any and all java programs are allowed internet access. If that doesn't work.... just keep trying stuff. It doesn't make sense to give up on something due to a short period of errors.
(actually, if not for those errors, I wouldn't've even signed up here.)

I've tried deleting local files and reinstalling it for like, 16 times already. I've already sent them 2 emails and no response. Not even a complimentary auto-responder. I don't know if they are trying to fix this problem to be honest.
