I solo'd him today, and I actually didn't die until right AFTER he did (shame), unlike all the previous times I'd solo'd him with the same gear. I usually die once and am left at around 1/2 health after a revive. I don't think he's doing more damage.
Royal Jelly updated without patch notes for it?
Yes they did some changes, JK spins more times before getting angry so you cant stand too much time near him. I've done a lot of JK runs and noticed this after the last game patch.
Its easier to charge against him, few swings and fallback for another charge, no need to revive doing solo :)
Also I'm sure the JK run drops much less crowns than before :|

When he goes pink to start spinning, now he seems to just kind of sit there a few seconds before spinning around. I believe these knockback and spinning changes were done in the recent bugfix patch. I find it kind of shady to do this kind of stuff without leaving detailed patch notes for it
Fine, I noticed that four mineral patches are missing from the Royal Jelly Room. I was referencing to the knockback (#1 on OP's list) and damage (#2 on OP's list) in my earlier post.
And, the Royal Jelly had a big nerf before I started Spiral Knight.
Also, I hear Onyxia deep breathes more.
