been saving up 375k to put 3UV on an item. here's what i have (all items bound to me):
swords:
leviathan VH ATI (cost 1 million, not going to erase UV)
leviathan blank
bombs:
nitronome (UV +med beast dmg)
shivermist (UV +low CTR)
guns:
argent peacemaker (blank)
armor:
skolver coat + cap (each with UV +low defense)
shields:
almire crest (blank)
barbarous thorn (blank)
i'm thinking crest because i use it most of the time, and it's blank so i wouldn't be losing anything.
any suggestions?
You'll want it on a shield or armor.... weapons are to risky with that much at stake. So yeah, Crest.

I'm so sorry you thought that was worth something.
I'd say go for the armor. None of the possible UVs on armor are truly useless (since they removed the sleep resist UV), and since it is your only 5* set you are using it all the time.
Most UVs on shields are resists, which on a shield are not that useful.
I'd like to recommend that you get a better variety of gear before you start shelling out for 3x UV tickets. The right piece of gear with no UV will handily beat the wrong piece of gear with 3x UV.
Got to go armor. The shield is the only one that makes any sense. You're only other option is a nitronome or leviathan since you can't get a useless uv on a weapon that deals neutral damage.
Triple uv is a big rip off unless you are already set with all the gear you want/need. I.e. all max something or even double max uv's. Your money though, and i know we all have our own passions :D i've went near broke and back shooting for double uv greatness and had a blast doing so :)

Naw, 3 UV roll is a joke. In all of my two hundred fifty-thousand sixty two.four years of Spiral Knights I have not seen an item thats value is compared to of 375k.
I see them everyday. It's called any 5* item. unbind is 4k ce and making it can vary between 1450 and 1200 ce (not including blackened crest/crest of almire) and at nowaday's ce prices thats about 327k+ crowns. Anyways, I agree with the rest of your statement. personally I'd rather have the 5* item than a 3uv.
well other than a 3UV i don't know what to spend my money on. i feel like i have the optimal stuff for most situations and i don't like swapping gear anyway.
again, how about 25 1UV tickets. You roll until you get something cool, then put another item up and roll for it. You may be able to get good UVs on all your unUVed stuff for 375k or less, whereas I will pretty much guarantee you'll roll something like elemental-low/freeze-low/piercing-low, or some other hilariously bad UV set.
The risk paid off! That's a great result.
A max elemental and med shadow u.v. blackened crest was sold for 35k ce. And the price had jumped by about 800k crown from a max + low. So, congrats.
i would have been happy with 3 medium (or some other cumulative +6 UV points) so i'm very pleased with +9
yea, if you're going to do the 3UV, do the crest.
OR...
get a 2UV a few times until you get something decent,
OR...
get a 1UV 25 times, or until you get something cool.
