no description, so just tell me what or who could the extra too T3 bosses will be.
what would be the next 2 bosses of T3?
1) We can't say there will be any, although I think there will.
2) We can't say what they WILL be, assuming they're going to exist. We can speculate only on what we think they might be.
3) Given both of the above, I really, really hope 3R gets the hell out of their elemental rut they've worn themselves into, and make a boss with no elemental attacks whatsoever.
I was thinking King Tinkinzar would be a boss in the core, if they end up putting a boss in the core.
But that's just my opinion.
but what about a feind boss they never made that yet
i was thinking about a fiend boss too.. cept it would be HARD speaking of devilites
they need to make shadow defense more useful
this is just useless speculation. You want an answer to your question, here it is: new bosses will be either a gremlin, a fiend, piercing based, elemental based, shadow based, poison based, fire based, freeze based, shock based, stun based, curse based, or a combination of any of the previous.
The end.
Shrink, the only boss in the game that even has an elemental attack is the Twins and Vanaduke's mask phaze, the rest of the bosses attacks are all normal. I don't see what you're complaining about all the elemental boss attacks OOO has worn themselves into a rut with.
There's an implicit assumption that if an attack can cause an elemental status effect, it is elemental, even if it isn't. This is probably mostly because of the Alchemer and Brandish lines.
If it doesn't show a Green attack symbol under the monster, its not elemental. Status only affects your shield really, the more status bonus, the more the shield will block of just that status. Assumptions are most likely wrong. Vanaduke's mace does Normal/stun/fire, and a Grey Owlite won't protect 2 hits from that mace, but my Volcanic Plate Shield will. Because it has Normal/Stun/Fire defenses on it.
I should have clarified. It's not really the boss itself that I'd like to be something other than elemental, but if they're adding a boss in T3, give the boss levels (the ones that come before the boss) more representation of shadow and/or piercing. Any mob can be elemental, but not any mob can use shadow or piercing attacks. Hence, elemental is everywhere, and I'd like to see them start phasing out the overrepresentation of elemental attacks by taking a little out and replacing it with a chance of having a "corrupted" or "sharpened" version of some mobs.
Actually, I should post something like that in the suggestions forum...I mean, there's a reason why everyone goes fire-resistant gear and owlite shields, and it's poor game design. When you marginalize 75% of the gear choices and a majority of players have one of 3 or 4 different lines of armor, there's something that needs a little balancing. If mobs could randomly be shadow or piercing as well as elemental, that would be a step in the right direction. It also might be nice if they randomized the numbers and location of enemies in boss strata, as well, instead of having the exact same enemies spawn in the exact same places all the time...but that's another topic I guess.
Its the same way in almost all MMOs, the group of high level people almost ALWAYS will have the same gear, because its the best at doing its job in that game. You can have 200 different armor types that do 200 different things but only a few that are viable because of the bonuses and everyone will still almost always have the same armor on because its THE BEST. Other people can choose different gear, but it won't be as god-tier as the set everyone has because there's a reason everyone has it. People here run Vog + Grey Owlite because most people are swordies and have a hard time dodging turrets so they need elemental defense. Until we have a gear customization merchant that we can put the bonuses we want on any piece of gear we want to, ie. taking the Med sword asi bonus from Vog and putting it on, say, a Skelly gear or something like that, the game won't change. Vog/Grey Owlite will still be most used.
The next two Tier 3 bosses:
1) Vin Diesel in a Pitch Black Room
2) Keanu Reeves as King Tinkinzar/The Core.
For Vin, you have to take light balls from somewhere in the room and throw them at him, then he becomes vulnerable for a few seconds until the stage goes black again.
To beat Vin Diesel you need to stop granny shifting and double clutch like you should.
the group of high level people almost ALWAYS will have the same gear, because its the best at doing its job in that game.
And THAT is the design flaw. Just because it happens in a lot of games does not mean it isn't a flaw.
There should be no "best." There are four different damage types: normal, shadow, elemental, and piercing. Aside from boss strata (perhaps including them, but I don't feel like discussing that possibility atm), there should be equal representation of one or a combination of all of them in any given strata. In a game of rock-paper-scissors, there is no "best," and that's exactly how the damage system should work in this game.
You should be able to craft any set you like and have it be very close in performance or worth to any other set. If I want to craft a skelly set, I should be able to do so, and choose the strata I'd like to play based on that set (undead, fiend). But while I can do that, it's not equal in worth to the vog cub set or any set that resists elemental, because elemental is everywhere whereas shadow is not.
If all the damage types occurred in nearly equal amounts, it would make all the armor and shield sets much closer in value and performance. Vog and owlite would still be a tad more valuable, because Vana is the only T3 boss at the moment, and that's a popular stratum, and owlite and vog are excellent choices to go through them. Wolver lines also have the sword bonuses, and most people use swords, so that's another reason that you pointed out. But really, the only thing you CAN'T do with vog and owlite is perhaps a fiend stratum (not saying it's impossible, though), and that's stupid.
Hopefully that clarifies it a bit better.
Who is to say there will be two more? The only one I would assume would be a Tier 3 boss is King Tinkinzar, assuming he's still part of Spiral Knights lore.
