There have been many times where the last depth on a gate is so anti-climatic and boring and even low on crowns... I end up making it to the Core and thinking how lame it was. At least make the last depth an arena or something..

I really think Depth 28 on all other gates should be a level that's cool and worth getting to. Players should not be allowed to join at depth 28 just like Vanaduke or any other Boss depth and you should actually be rewarded SOMETHING! Because the reward of getting to the core is NOTHING unlike getting to depth 18 as an example .. at least you get tier clearance.

Well, if the arena idea is taken then they could just leave after the first room?

Besides, I wouldn't use the existence of an optional achievement to dismiss a suggestion. I would assume any such special stages wouldn't be quite as difficult as D28 of FSC.

Hey Natts, you have a point though if people got to the core by defeating LORD VANADUKE they get two sets of tokens which in Spiral Knights eyes isnt right, though i LOVE the idea. for instance a tier 2 boss gets you 2* to 3* Equipment and a Tier 1 Boss gets you 1*-2* equip, vanaduke gets you 5* and 4* which is worth it, but id love to see some "Liquid Core" tokens for ELITE looking armor and costumes, helmets and shields too. I can just imagine the best blade in the game for 100 Liquid Cores... a SPIRAL blade. 5* and strong in EVERY way with HIGHEST UV AND RESIST AND DAMAGE AGAINST EVERYTHING! That's be awesome.

you're right iced. It would be awesome. By implementing that blade, punch becomes useless. DA will start to pale in comparison. Any other weapon is pointless. Weapon slots become useless. Krogmo trinkets become useless. The whole game becomes imbalanced. Every other weapon gets devalued.

Depth 28 isn't much different

Depth 28 isn't much different from depth 7 or 17 that don't have bosses. So what if its last depth of a tier? Its just a dungeon/level.
