@Repartee: I would suggest telling how important it is to what you do, and that its opinion matters. As long as its not mad at you for something you did/said a year ago, you might be ok. And god have mercy on you if you forget the date you bought it..... they remember stuff like that.

I assume that the router comes with a lifetime warranty. Or is that an optional purchase plan?
If I can't remember the date I bought it, will I need to optimize my performance with a fancy accessory case or is there another plan of action I can take?.. As for long term costs it seems like routers might be expensive... Is there a cheaper alternative for quality internet connection?
I'm a bit worried now though if I have to dismantle it to it's bare components. I have clumsy hulk hands and I'm not sure I'd be able to handle that delicate hardware and software correctly. I'm wondering if you can direct me to a guide or technical course that will help.
