If that is the case then both

If that is the case then both the company and the testers have failed. Then again the majority of testers are not testing, it's why I am not bothering, I just want to see, not help:)

Nah you have to think they

Nah you have to think they may do it like they did with regular pvp and give everyone pre set gear.

If not then I suggest you start learning some tactics and crunching numbers. Tactics always beats raw strength.

Personally as a pure Bomba this type of pvp will be fun for me I get mass freeze/stun/fire people then blow them all up.

Gear really isn't as big an end-all as youd think. There's been a few players with T1 or T2 gear that somehow wound up in T3 games and are still worthy additions to the team. I've even had a few games where I didn't even have to do damage to help people.

It's skill (and of course

It's skill (and of course avoiding lag but...). Obviously you don't want to be too disadvantaged in a fight, but if someone like my friend just stands around spamming shivermist, you'd obviously better not run into it thinking you have any chance of not getting frozen (lest you're wearing skolver or awesome UVs). Any gun can get through the range of a shivermister easily. So use your brains.

Plus, a lot of things will change upon the real release, to be honest while watching my friend I saw so many people using true heart trinkets. I'm pretty sure most of them didn't have those items themselves. Granted, this also means some people who worked hard to get good UVs you will encounter them as well, but that's a part of the challenge. I imagine shock and freeze wolver coats are about to become VERY valuable. And more people are going to learn to appreciate bombs I hope.

Just remember one thing, teamwork really is key here. Find your own role in it, and please don't focus only and killing enemies, you don't win games like that.

Now for the original topic...I'm doing nothing to prepare XD I'm too poor to try. But at least I've gotten to see some of the maps watching my friend play so that's cool. I can get a good idea of what to do :-)

@Fallout, Wrench Wand is T2

@Fallout, Wrench Wand is T2 actually, isn't it ;-D

Anyway, I was thinking about doing T1/T2 battles as well - mostly because I can't afford several T3 Loudouts atm :-D and I won't go far with my Nameless set only.

Judging from what i've seen

Judging from what i've seen and read, it appears that teamwork trumps all gear, I know not everyone has the time or budget, but it appears that a well-oiled team will fare far better than an over-confident team full of 'leet' gear. Which, BTW, everyone equates to Vog or heavy fire resist, due to Vanaduke. Hit 'em with shock or cold, go invisible, use the guardian shield, but more importantly, join my Ventrilo server and talk to me, we can beat them with tactics :)

For those who are worried about vogs....

Bring a flourish or snarble barb line sword, get recon shield=problem solved.
