At first I planned to be a pure gunner, but after lockdown and my first FSC run (I'm only T2, a guild mate carried me through :D), I am seriously reconsidering. So i will tell you what I have, and what I want to have, and i would like some help making sense of what i should use.

WANT

Lockdown: Volcanic Demo Helm, Vog/Skolver coat (it's either PvP usability or FSC usability), Shivermist Buster and a Fearless Rigadoon.

T3: Undecided Helm, Same coat for PvP, Grey Owlite Shield, Fearless Rigadoon (saves money), Polaris (I already have the Kilowatt), Undecided on other weapons or if they are even needed

FSC: Volcanic Demo Helm, Same as up there, Crest of Almire or Grey Owlite Shield or Volcanic Plate Shield, Fearless Rigadoon and/or Polaris and/or Divine Avenger and/or Shivermist buster and/or Radiant Sun Shards.

HAVE

Dusker Coat, Gunslinger Hat/Spiral Demo Helm, Horned Owlite shield, Rigadoon (UV fiends - low), Magnus, Kilowatt Pulsar (Stupid UV i'm gona roll a new one on eventually), Catalyzer (should i sell?), Wrench Wand (don't laugh), Freezing Other stupid weapons.

Recipes
Heavy Demo Helm
Mega Magnus (D:<)

Tokens
6 frumious fang (but i doubt Snarby items sell very well)
3 Almirian Seals (Lawl)
69 Krogmo Coins (I shall buy a mod calibrator and sell it)

So that's the situation. Any thoughts? Does it look good? Can you help me decide on my undecided things?

pure gunner...

Just an opinion, pure gunner is possible to do well on both FSC and lockdown.
I got killed numerous times by callahan user. Also, on FSC blitz needle charge damage beats everything even swords.

Possible but...

I'm not sure i like the fact of always kiting, I kind of like the ability to do some heavy damage with a sword. Pure gunning is very possible, but I don't think only using one weapon type is my play style.

First of all I'm sad you are dropping the pure (or mainly) gunner lifestyle. :D

You can still have three guns and 1 sword or bomb y'know.

So what can you do here with what you have...

Gunslinger Hat - Can upgrade it to Deadshot someday should you decide to build anti-shadow armor.
Dusker Coat, Spiral Demo, Horned Owl, Rigadoon - Upgrade it all the way to FSC gear, but you already knew that
K Pulsar - Upgrade (Will be your only gun?)
Catalyzer - Sell
"Freezing" - Vaporizer? Then upgrade it all the way.
"Other stupid weapons" - Are they 1*? Don't sell. Can be used for T1 lockdown.
6 frumious fang - They sell better than you think. Try for at least 15k at current energy prices with a Barb or Buckler.

Your plans:

DA - Not bad, so you like heavy swords better then medium swords...
RSS - Maybe you are better off with other haze bombs or a vortex...
Almarian Seals - There's nothing you need at the moment, don't worry.

Possible other weapons:

G Faust to complete your damage types (assuming you like heavy swords)
Ash of Agni, Static Capacitor, Vortex, Venom Veiler, etc...

Couple of points. I would not waste the cash on taking a Rigadoon to *5. The Final Flourish and Barbarous Snarble Barb are both better in every way, with the Flourish's charge being better for single target kills and the Barb's charge better for crowds. The Rigadoon's slight chance of moderate stun doesn't even come close to make up for its lower hit damage. Another point is if you plan on being a Gunner with a sword, you might want to pick a normal damage sword so you don't get nerfed vs Constructs and Slime. If you are taking a sword into FSC you may want to consider an Elemental sword like a DA, Voltedge, or Glacius.

Snarb tokens. Personally I love the the Snarb gear & have had a ton of great use from my Bristling Buckler (now a Dark Thorn Shield) and the Twisted Snarble Barb is great for PVP.

@FernPanda Aw, don't worry. I still like gunning, I just think having to kite all the time is not my style. In fact, after I sell the catalyzer i might get another one, because another guild mate of mine has a neutralizer. my magnus might also see use in PvP. So basically, what you're saying is just get my FSC stuff and don't worry about general T3 use? If so, i guess that means a vog coat.

One thing kolela reminded me of is the blitz needle, which i meant to put down. should i use that too?

Also, are you sure about the sun shards? I mean, if i got a CTR trinket, i'd have maximum CTR on that, meaning I could spam it about 5 times every 6 seconds (i probably wouldn't spam it that rapidly though).

Also, i don't really like heavy swords, nor do i dislike them, but I have used a sealed sword in an arena, and i liked how the second swing launched away most enemies. There seems to be crowds like that in the FSC.

@Hellrazer333 Nah, this sword is for PvP use, so i doubt the damage decrease makes THAT much of a difference. Besides, I might as well use it as my piercing sword against fiends and beasts to save money and trouble, right?

@anyone who wants to give me advice :D

reason why ur guns are useless is because you dont have full 4* gear genuis.0*-3* gear are almost useless in tier 3.

Anyone want to give opinions on RSS in a hybrid character? Theoretically it doesn't seem to work out. :D

Regarding T3, you can't possibly worry about getting different armors to 5* quickly because it's just so expensive to fund (even with real money). 4* you can do it, but 5*... just focus on one set (FSC set in this case)

I've been using the Blitz and it's awesome, just use charge attack, usually 1 charge 1 kill. But since you have half a Vog, a pierce sword may be better.

Well...

From personal experience, I'd like to say many, many guns are garbage before 4*. The difference can be massive. Think 3* plate shield to 4* plate shield difference. Pulsar is one of the the exceptions. :D

Ok, guess you gonna have VH CTR overall (eventually) on your bomb...

MMO's usually take forever to get anything done. Even longer to afford max uv gear... heh heh heh.

DO NOT SELL YOUR CATALYZER.

It's pretty useful in soloing.

Switch your rigadoon in for a Final Flourish or a Barbarous Thorn Blade. The snarby items might not sell very well, but they sure are useful.
Barbarous Thorn shield is useful in T3, but VPS/Gray Owlite/Crest of Almire is for FSC.
If you decide on RSS, get Mad Bomber, Shivermist: Volcanic Demo.
Polaris is a good choice for a PvE and PvP gun, as well as Callahan, more than Biohazard.
But hey, I favor guns more than swords, so take of that what you will.

hey, it's ipatuss here on my alternate character. So yeah, I'm probably gonna ditch the DA and get another sword. My question now is, which brandish do you guys think is better? The voltedge or glacius, and if it is the voltedge, should I spend my 76 krogmo coins on a shockburst brandish recipe, or a mod calibrator?

The glacius is cool too, was more commenting just on the shockburst side in particular. If you don't mind farming PVP tokens, the boltbrand/voltedge recipes are really easy to get. It can take quite a few trips to basil or a bit of cash in the auction house to get the glacius series recipes.
