Defender or Owlite/ Cobalt or Wolver

As the topic above shows, I am confused about which one i should use.

My equipment are:

Dusker Cap
Dusker Coat
Owlite Shield
Tempered Calibur
Firotech Alchemer Mk 2

Personally, I'm having trouble dealing with these few enemies in the game:

1. Gremlins
2. Gun puppies
3. Alpha Wolvers
4. Jellies

So, according to the wiki these enemies are dealing

Piercing ( Jellies Gremlins, Not sure about Wolvers)
Elemental ( Gun puppies )

Ive selected these few items as my goals but do not know which I should choose because i dont have the CE to craft them all

1. Cobalt
2. Defender
3.Wolver ( currently using)
4.Owlite ( currently using )

The cobalt and Defender have piercing defense

While the owlite and wolver provide me with sword damage increases and elemental defense

Please tell me which combination of equipment i should use
You can mention EQs which are not stated above.

Your armor is fine. Gremlins

Your armor is fine. Gremlins are resistant to elemental damage, so you shouldn't try to kill them with your alchemer. Gun puppies you shoot with your alchemer. Wolvers, you might want to invest in a flourish or snarble barb. Jellies? Shield and dodge.

Also, you might want to move this to the Arsenal section.

My two cents

Wrong section dude.
Don't replace cobalt armor with your dusker armor. Dusker armor actually offers piercing defense. Focus less on tanking damages and more on dodging the enemies attacks.
If you want swords to counter these, use the brandish lines for the gremlins, gun puppies and jellies, and a flourish/barb line for the wolvers.
