Steam accounts are not able to edit the wiki currently. They're working on it, but I don't know when wiki editing access for Steam folks will be possible.
http://forums.spiralknights.com/user (also get to it via the "Forum Preferences" link next to the search box. Click on the Edit tab and there should be a range of avatars to select. Don't forget to use the "Save" button to save your selection.
