The top bar shows "Log in or Create an account" but I'm able to see my user icon in the Forum Preferences, and I'm able to post in the forums as if I were logged in. I didn't log out the last time I visited the forums, and there's no Log out button now.
Clicking "MY ACCOUNT" brings me to the login page as expected.
Happens to me all the time, mainly happens when ou are on, go off for about 5-8 hours, then come back.
I post on my IPod, but that doesn't make a difference that much I don't think.

When this happens I simply press log in button and log in properly. Funny thing is: after I log in I get "verification error" unless I update the page prior to making a reply (reply - log in from another tab - save reply - error!).
@Round-Shinigami: It tracks session IDs when you open pages or submit replies/threads. If the session expires, glitches, or otherwise doesn't match up with a live session ID on the server you'll run into that error.
Did you clear your cookies after the forum upgrade? A lot of info is stored in it, and probably isn't consistent with the new setup.
