I have a good unique variant on my shivermist buster. It has damage bonus undead:VERY HIGH! And I have my Divine avenger with charge time reduction: low
I wanted these on each other. If there was a option to swap the unique variants for like 200-600 ce that would just be amazing.

Rage craft hot edge, pick nice UV, upgrade to searing edge, transfer to brandish, upgrade to fireburst brandish, transfer to sealed sword, upgrade to DA. Way, way, WAY cheaper than crafting Avengers looking for the UV you want (or even paying Punch to add UVs to Sealed Swords).
Not to mention that not all items are allowed to have the same UVs--in addition to the obvious one where offensive and defensive items have completely different UVs, there's also the important bit that bombs don't get ASI. So swapping UVs between bombs and swords is not 1-to-1. (And if anything, I'd like to see more UV divergence, not less.)
Of course, the real reason this is not happening is that it would make it much easier to buy the exact UV you're looking for when you can buy it on any item instead of only on the line you want to actually use. Why do you think Punch only sells you random UVs instead of letting you pay for a specific one? The game coaxes people into paying more money by forcing them to gamble for what they want.

You got me on that.
Maybe you can only transfer over items with 3 star? or maybe 5 star? I think that'd be a bit fair if you can only transfer a UV if it's 5 star to a 5 star.
But then people would just rage-craft 1* items to get UVs to transfer to their fancy gear.
