I have been kicked to LOGIN screen:

- at vana during phase 5. Kicked to haven, rest of team still fighting. (awhile ago)
- at t2 basil while talking (kicked to haven, fortunately i was done. also awhile ago)
- after lockdown, logged back in and in another lockdown. other team members experienced the same login screen and ended up in haven, though they showed up as "leaving" the game at the end of it. (yesterday)
- at vana, after a clean kill and the tokens were spinning. Kicked to haven, no tokens given. Rest of team still down at 28. (today)

Is there any way for me to provide you with logs so you can see what is going on?

To be clear, this is not the party leader kicking me (the one at basil *I* was the leader), this is the game kicking me to login, and then (more likely than not) to haven.

If your on Steam, its a sign

If your on Steam, its a sign of a flaky connection since the Steam client loses communication with the Steam servers (still hate that dependency). Otherwise it would an odd server error top drop authentication like that.

You can try looking in the projectx.log file after a session where you got kicked, but unexpected server errors typically aren't logged by the client at all.

Thanks for the feedback Starlin. I am not on Steam. I believe it showed a full connection when I got kicked at Basil, but this problem is definitely intermittent, so I am normally not looking at the connection when it occurs.

If this is server side it won't be logged on the client, but if there was a session ID in the client log it could help them troubleshoot. Just wanted to know if there was something I could do to help track this down.

I experience same problem. I get randomly kicked to login screen. Sometimes when I try to join a blast network or lockdown game it takes 200 crowns and kicks me to login, then returns me to haven and says I "left" the lockdown/blast network game.
Sometimes it kicks me when I change level (or ride elevator - instead of loading screen).
I'm not sure if I ever ended up in Haven instead of my destination, other than PvP games. As far as I remember, this either never happened or didn't happen many times.

I got a short reply on the ticket saying they thought it was network stuff, but here's the thing. Often when I am running Vana and I am experiencing graphics driver lag I'll force quit Spiral Knights (usually on the elevator before the lava steps) and when I relaunch/log back in it maintains the session - I stay with the group during the disconnection. I am not the only one who reclients during these runs to try and fix a slow running system either.

This behavior is different, people aren't running off the map (ala network lag) I could be in the middle of combat attacking a monster with someone else (seeing them swing their sword) and *boom* login screen. But you do bring up a good point, there are definitely variations to this.

- Whole group kicked to log in screen (happened before Vana in one of the massive amounts zombie rooms) but everyone logged back in and we were all still there but dead.
- One person kicked to login/Haven during clockworks combat (only one I can truly confirm on this is me) or just chatting in the clockworks.

Based off of what Starlin said, I wonder if my *authentication/session* is actually getting killed or not passed somewhere (client/network/server)? I can survive a reclienting just fine, the server maintains the session well in the clockworks for a few minutes while I relaunch SK. I wouldn't be surprised that the session timeout is a lot shorter for PVP, but the only time I got login screen was between games.
