Right now, there is no indication that dead players will get teleported to the player button when stepped on.
This can lead to players rushing backwards in a level to resurrect a dead player and being killed themselves by what killed that player.
You could add a notice saying dead players will teleport to the player button when pressed, but that also seems uninuitive. "Why would a dead body teleport over here?"
Rather, a better idea would be that a player button, when stepped on by living party members, will resurrect dead players at that button, but at a lower amount of health than going to the next level. Let's say, a player button revival only gives 1 or 2 pips of health with standard temporary revival immunity for when the button triggers a mob fight.
Naturally, this will end up costing actual money to OOO if implemented due to less players dying and using crystal energy to revive from their mistaken runs back to save their friends as well as general less revivals with CE, but perhaps OOO or other players here can think of a way to make up for that lost CE sink.
Still, it's not exactly obvious that dead players won't get left behind when a player button gate goes up. The death dialog even says that you either get revived by a party member, or wait until the next level. It mentions nothing about dead players being teleported to player buttons to avoid being left behind.

I'm not sure how adding in free revives at button presses changes this (especially as "warping a dead player and automatically reviving them at a party button" really makes no more sense than flat out "warping a dead player at a party button").
Essentially, the problem is a lack of informing players of such a feature by the game itself. Auto-reviving at the button in this regard is therefore completely irrelevant, because at some point you still need to inform the player that they don't have to rush back through the level to revive the downed player.
Maybe it would help if there was a ghost image of the dead player on the party button. Even better would be to have a "tip" thing appear by the button when someone is dead, explaining that the player will teleport.
I like how it is. Can lead to interesting situations. Last time we had two dead players in fsc, I ressed one, then accidentally ressed the second one too instead of charging my blitz and with only 1/4 of what HP I initially had I ran into the flames due to the unanticipated walking speed. I'm not sure what happened after that, but it was very chaotic and eventually resulted in FUN.
