You Know, I noticed something quite peculiar when I look at weapons... their stats are just Bars.
Thats right bars, It might work for people to just look at this weapon and See that the bar is larger than this and they should get it...

BUT... What if the weapons you are comparing... ARE NEARLY THE SAME SIZE?????
What is the better choice?? is it this weapon or this one? Is this armor stronger or is it the same strength?

It wouldn't hurt to add numbers at the end of the bars would it?
Just to make comparisons MUCH easier.

It wouldn't hurt would it?

Still a number on the over

Still a number on the over all level of condition in which the stat applies, a 1 to 10 would still appease someone such as myself, I understand the bars and terms low, high and maximum alreayd give a similar level of indicator, but I really feel that numbers really help indicate the resistance being applied.

The bars are only used to

The bars are only used to represent the scale of an items stats, without directly indicating a value. This is helpful in the sense that the devs could make silent changes to gear stats without causing a change (or even a backlash) in player behavior, making information gathered actually objective for once.

Theres also the fact that depth determines a lot about how stats are applied. As a general rule, damage done by both monsters and players increases in proportion to depth. Defense does so as well, but lags behind slightly being compensated for by increasing HP in monsters or through viatapods for knights. The star rank of gear also indicates a hard cap where equipment stats no longer scale upwards with the depth level. For high star gear being used in earlier tiers, their base stats still give an advantage over lower star gear, but the HP bonus is scaled back in accordance with Tier (+6 HP would double the starting amount in T1, so its pulled back to +2.)

Yes, yes, the bars are

Yes, yes, the bars are intentionally vague. But it might be worth considering a number that indicates, not the actual damage/defense value, but THE LENGTH OF THE BAR, just so that we don't have to count those little divider lines.
