Game crashes at 40% loading at Clockwork Terminals

My spiral knights game client is crashing/freezing at exactly 40% loading when reaching clockwork terminals of the new gate. I'm unable to re log-in as it crashes everytime as it tries to load into this instance.

First time experiencing this issue; might be because of the new patch?

This patch is just great

I'm getting the same problem on my end, happened to me on a few non clock works floors and lost like 10 mist energy... it's kinda annoying

Can you guys describe the

Can you guys describe the crash? And is it generating an hs_errPID####.log in the SK folder.

Also, I noticed this entry in launcher.log after the initial patch, and trying to find out if this is relevant error or not.

Same thing, trying to access the Garden of Goo. I've even reinstalled the client, deleting the SK folder entirely but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Describe the crash? lol, what's there to describe? Next level starts loading, % counter stops at ~40% (40% before reinstall, 41% after) and stop there. Eventually Windows realises the program isn't responding and whites out the screen.

I couldn't find any error logs in SK before or after reinstall, though I'm running it through Steam so would they be in some obscure place or something?

Gah, I need those jelly tokens too -.-

logs are in the root of the

logs are in the root of the SK folder, which for Steam is \steam\steamapps\common\Spiral Knights\

Need the usual hardware specs to start looking for patterns.

Trapped going into Clockwork Terminal

I have the same problem. Was on depth 12 in the JK run, but the elevator going to depth 13 was not the free Clockwork Terminal rather it showed a deconstruction zone and the loading screen tells me im going to Candlestick Keep. Now i am stuck on trying to load into the new area at 42%.

Having the same issue here. I

Having the same issue here. I already saw a lot of bugs in-game, like the gate map and the social window messed up. Crash at the terminal and now it will crash everytime when loading.

I don't see an hs_errPID file.

I got the same problem. We

I got the same problem. We were playing Arena at Depth 13 instead of Clockworks Terminal at new gate. After that, game crashed at 39% and unable to play right now as it keeps on loading and crashing at 39% Clockworks Terminal. I was about to get my T3 free access for FSC. I lost CE, CR and time so I suggest the elevator cost to be lowered to half later.

For those logging into a

For those logging into a crashed instance or loading screen, you should try waiting about 10 minutes for your knight to get the idle-kick from the game. That will reset your knight out of the bad loading loop. Remember, every time you try to log in before the idle-kick will reset the countdown and potentially cound as another moving to level (taking another 10 Mist).

And I got this on my first run in the clockworks since the update - I'm going to guess whoever this is affecting, is going to get it fairly constantly.

Same Issue

Let me preface this by saying that the game has launched/played fine before the update today (10/06/11). I play on steam.

I tried to join a gate and when it got to the loading screen it froze at around 40%.
When I launch spiral knights now it skips the log in screen and auto-connects to the last game I played.
When it reaches the loading screen it also freezes at around 40%.
So I cant try to get to haven or try to connect with another knight.

Now that idle kicker got me out of the loop, the game still keeps freezing every other terminal at 40%.

Depth-Problem ; Loading Error

I have the same problem now. My group somehow had a bugged elevator. We came from a Depth 19 Map (Candlestick) to another Depth 19 (Arena) but it was displayed 20 (The FSC Gate). After we reached the end of Depth 22 there was not the terminal. Now I'm stuck at 42% loading.

I'm not sure if this is part of the glitch or not, but it seems like the gate map I find in a gate is glitched to show that I'm anywhere from 1 to 2 floors ahead of where I really am.

I glitched going to d12 (Dark City: Plazamonium). The first time it crashed at 38%, then the next 2 times it crashed at 40%. Restarting Steam had no effect.

We need the projectx.log

We need the projectx.log entries following a crash. In particular, I'm looking for the java exception errors that should be near the end of the log. And be sure to include at least 1 full instance of the stack trace (the whole segment without the time stamp attached following an exception warning) if its repeating.

From what I've read, an ArrayIndex OutOfBounds Exception occurs when your trying add data to an array that basically doesn't have enough room to contain it. Usually this is a minor coding error, or counting wrong someplace, but since its not occurring in every dive, it might be related to the results of the prize wheel.

Does anyone know if the same prize is awarded to the party, or if its per player?
