I'm sorry for addressing the same problem again guys but I really wanna play this game.
I asked about this before in another topic and Dogrock answered me and I thought that the problem was solved but it seems that it hasn't.

My problem is a proxy problem (finally I discovered this) and I've been trying for more than a week to solve it but in vain.
I tried doing what Dogrock told me to do (change the proxy settings in the java network settings) and I thought it worked but the game is still running without a proxy and here's my launcher.log:

Arhg, so I just poked again

Arhg, so I just poked again at this myself. It appears that SK ignores any proxy settings set to Java overall (as is confirmed by the log you posted and the one I just generated).

I'll keep looking around, but it seems like the game defines it's own connection settings. The proxy.txt file in the game's folder might be a good place to do a quick test. Edit: either I do not know the correct format yet or filling data to that file does nothing.

Dogrock, if SK checks or

Dogrock, if SK checks or writes to that file, when you eventually figure out what to put in there you might have to set it as read-only.
I learned that from Borderlands.

sent a ticket

I also sent a ticket to OOO about that proxy.txt file asking how to use it, but they didnt answer anything.
The one who answered my ticket just thanked me for contacting support and told me to reply to them if I "find a resolution to my question"

Figured out the formatting

Figured out the formatting for proxy.txt with some trail and error. (deceptively simple)

(line break separated)
host=192.168.1.5
port=1027

Shows up in the launcher.log as :

The proxy server is obviously a non-existent one. Getdown made 3 attempts to contact it, then gave up and fell back to a direct connect method. Oddly enough, when I pointed it at my router using a high number port, it went through.... which is weird because I'm not running proxy services on it.

I tried to define some registry strings in the projectx\pref\ but it didn't recognize any combinations I could think of.

Thank you very much

Thank you very much Starlinvf, Providence and Dogrock.
I don't know how to say this guys, and you probably will want to kill me when you hear this, but I did what Starlinvf said and the game
started running with the specified proxy. But, guess what, It didn't work :(
The game is still sometimes automatically logging me out when I go in a gate or to lockdown (and the bad part about lockdown is that I still lose the 200 crowns) and sometimes the black screen appears instead of loading the first time into Haven.

Can you link back to the other thread where you found out about the proxy? We cycle through so many threads a week, keep losing track.

This is the thread with the original problem: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/27354

In that thread I said that I log on from my steam account but now I only use the SK account I created from this site. Both of those problems (the black screen instead of loading the first time into haven, and the game logging me out automatically when I start a mission) are happening with the SK account.

I played around with it

I played around with it further, and projectx will still make a few attempts to contact the proxy, but will utilize a direct connection if available. What this suggests is a proxy isn't the cause of the problem, and may just be network conditions.

I didn't quite understand

I didn't quite understand what you're saying. so, is the game not running with the specified proxy? or is it not a proxy problem at all?
btw, I play games like dota (through dotalicious) and Heroes of Newerth and I don't encounter any problems like these.
Further help would be appreciated.

If it can find a direct

If it can find a direct connection to the internet, it'll still try to use that regardless of the proxy settings. There might still be a transparent proxy in the ISP, but those are hard to detect and almost impossible to get around without VPN. And being half way around the world from the server makes it hard to come up with a solution.

Anyone have any ideas?

I just downloaded a program

I just downloaded a program that forces any application to use the proxy specified by this program.
And now it gives me the message "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a moment before reconnecting".
So I think that I managed to make the game run with a specified proxy, but what is this error message I'm receiving?
Any ideas?

The game doesn't use HTTP for gameplay, so the proxy server you use would need to have a SOCKS interface to work right.

Hardware Firewall/Router. Make sure traffic is allowed on ports 47624 through 47634 inclusive on both TCP and UDP.

Possible fix.

Hello,
I just downloaded SK within the hour, and was having the proxy problem. I enabled the Java programs in my firewall, but that did not work. I then went to processes, ended the jawe.exe or whatever (apologize I cannot remember the name) and then simply restarted SK. If that works for you, then great, but it seemed to have worked for me.

Thanks, Robert.
