My first session (yesterday) went fine, I played for a couple of hours with no issues. Now when I launch the client, javaw.exe maxes out both of my cores and the window is almost completely unresponsive. I've tried uninstalling the client to revert all my options but it's still happening after reinstall.
I have the latest nvidia drivers for my card and the newest version of Java.

Yep, I have the EXACT same problem, no freaking idea. I even have the 32bit version of Java. Also tried with 64bit.
AMD Athlom II X2 250 cpu, 4GB RAM, 1GB GTS 450 Overclocked.
My system is more than capable to handle this crap.
Activate vsync! This game's framerate seems not to be limited except by your hardware otherwise.
Have you tried opening the game without having any internet browser open in the background?
