Radiant Sun Shards expansion

The RSS bomb, a popular bomb for many players, sadly doesn't have a 5* line.
My ideas:

-Blistering Sun Shards-
increased piercing damage
good chance of causing moderate Fire

-Storming Sun Shards-
increased elemental damage
good chance of causing moderate Shock

Your "Storming Sun Shards"

Your "Storming Sun Shards" kind of overlaps with the Ionized Salt Bomb (aka the bomb of regret).

Some other ideas:

Neutron Star: Pure normal damage, chance of stun maybe

Dark Matter Bomb: Pure Shadow, slight chance of curse or good chance of poison (why yes, I do hate the royal jelly with a burning passion, why do you ask?)

Quasar: Pure elemental, chance to inflict random status (like sealed sword)

Sorry, i completely forgot about the ionized salt bomb :D

The Pure damage eliminates the line of fiend-effective bombs
the random status is AWESOME, though

My idea:

-Quasar Shards-
increased elemental damage
good chance of causing a random status effect

I'm sure OOO is working on it. They did it to the trokia after all. Spur and crystals will probabaly be next.

I'd go ahead and like this.

I'd go ahead and like this. The bomb is actually pretty good (hard to use) but pretty good at its 4* so I'd love to see a 5* version...I might like to see an effect, but I'm not sure I want to give up the piercing/elemental side of the bomb, I'm not sure why but that bomb is pretty decent on everything (when AP isn't so much).

Stun would probably be really awesome on it since its good for fiends. But I don't want the damage to go down too much since the usual rule for effects is if there's an effect, its weaker than the one without the effect.

Read the section about the sun shards, the 5* shard bombs overpowered the other bombs WAY too much. So, I think that OOO removed the 5* for a pretty good reason, and if you actually get the bombs, the damage is significantly larger than the nitro i own. So im grateful that it stops at 4*, think of it like a super cheap 5* equip. Also if it does go to 5*, they will need to nerf all the rest so it wont overpower all the bombs again.

we have one shadow bomb and its not useful for pure damage.
we have so much elemental going on (but also not useful for pure damage)
3 styles of the blast bomb line but people only use one (nitronome) because the others are unimpressive in one way or another.
2 shard bombs, one which I keep being told has a glitch where it's somehow the longest charging bomb Ionized, and one which is pretty awesome (RSS).
And then DBB which is the only piercing radius bomb (not that that's a bad thing). But I suppose that's off topic.

But even then, RSS can't come close to the protection a nitronome can provide once enemies are close. If you're dealing with a huge mob, even if all shards hit one monster, that means there's 5+ more that it didn't hit, whereas a nitronome can deal lesser but more consistent damage to them all. They all have their roles. Additionally, the way 5* items work, I'd doubt they'd give it that much more damage over the 4*. I'd probably bet on perhaps a maximum of 30 damage more per shard (no UVs assumed). A maximum then of 240 extra damage if you reaaaaally managed to lay all 8 shards into ONE enemy. Just enough extra damage to make it cooler but not honestly that much greater than the 4* (that's the case with a lot of 5* items to me). I might not even upgrade it if the 5* existed, but I'd still like to have the opportunity.

I'd like to see a 5* upgrade just for more variety. Like the ones I mentioned, or in the OP, or whatever. Right now, ignoring the ISB (which we should all rightly ignore) there's basically only one shard bomb line.

Bombing is pretty boring compared to gunning or swording, when it comes to equipment. There's basically a choice between two armors (Volcanic or Mad), and the for weapons you have Nitro/RSS/DBB for DPS, and either your favourite status bomb or GV/EV if you're running with swordies and gunners. Even then, Nitro is foreveralone.jpg and DBB is situational given it only comes in a piercing variant.
